Humane Contain is the dog fence brand of the High Tech Pet Company. They offer innovative systems but fall short when it comes to reliability.

Humane Contain has introduced a number of innovative features that are unique to their brand. All models have external speakers that produce loud warning signals that facilitate training. The Humane Contain HC-8000 boasts a rechargeable base station. The X-10 model uses the popular X-10 home automation protocol making it compatible with Humane Contain's automatic dog doors.

Our experience shows that a significant number of Humane Contain systems develop some sort of glitch and stop working properly. We have also heard that their customer service is below average although we have never experienced this personally. We suggest that owners consider other fences unless they absolutely need one of their exclusive features. The basic Petsafe, Perimeter Technologies, and Innotek systems represent a better value.
